Preparing Devices for a Verification Session Without Exposing Keys

Verification sessions fail quietly when batteries die mid-display or when clients open backup menus out of habit. The day before your appointment, charge every device you plan to show and confirm firmware versions match what your register lists—note mismatches on paper, not in chat apps.

Clear your desk of unrelated seed cards and exchange printouts. We need space for the register, your devices, and the observation form—nothing else. If joining by video, test camera angle so screen glare does not obscure balance fields; a desk lamp from the side usually suffices.

During the session you control navigation. We ask you to read balances aloud or hold devices to the camera; we never ask for USB connection to our machines. Decline any habit that exports private material—even “just for a moment.”

If a device prompts for a passphrase you do not wish to enter on video, pause and reschedule an in-person visit in Seoul. We prefer delay over unsafe display.

After verification, power down devices before casual conversation resumes. Clients who leave apps open sometimes reveal notifications unrelated to holdings; closing apps is a simple courtesy.
